Target Sport Adventures
Brian Lash founded the Target Companies in 1978. Since then, the Target Companies
have developed four separate divisions: Target Sport Adventures, Target Marketing
& Promotions, Target Travel, and Air Planning LLC. The Target Companies
earned combined revenues of $30,000,000 in fiscal year 2001.
Mr. Lash
began his Olympic tour and travel involvement selling packages to the Olympic
Winter Games in Sarajevo in 1984. In Atlanta during the 1996 Summer Games,
Target arranged and managed accommodations, transportation and/or hospitality
for companies and organizations such as: Time Warner, Kimberly Clark, Australian
Baseball Federation, Team Denmark, and the Norwegian Delegation. In Atlanta,
Target handled over 10,000 room nights and 50,000 passenger days for its clients.
Mr. Lash has also been responsible for operating some of the largest tour
and travel programs in history. In 1994 and 1999, Target was selected as the
Official Tour Operator for the Woodstock festivals and transported 29,000
passengers. Other official appointments include: 1998 NIKE World Masters Games;
1995 Special Olympic World Games; Official Orange Bowl Tour Operator 1989-1992;
Lennox Lewis/Mike Tyson World Heavyweight Championship and Harley Davidson's
100th Anniversary. During the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, Target Sport
Adventures sold over 50,000 room nights. Federal clients included the DOJ,
DOS, DOT, FDA, EPA and DOD, specifically the US Secret Service, Immigration
& Naturalization Service, Federal Aviation Administration, US Customs,
the National Guard and the White House. Corporate clients accommodated at
the Salt Lake City Olympic Games included Fidelity Investments, NCR, Biogen,
IBM Europe, Navajo Nation, Dutch Speedskating Team, Wells Fargo and Motorola.
In addition, Target Sport Adventures was appointed the Official Tour Operator
for Ski and Skiing magazines, as well as for the Non-accredited Media by the
State of Utah, Division of Travel Development.
Target
Sport Adventures has already begun its efforts to secure clients for Athens
2004. Discussions are ongoing with past customers, sponsors, National Olympic
Committees, the Greek Ministry of Public Order and the Olympic Games 2004
Security Branch of the Greek DOD.
Mr. Lash
served on the Governor's Entrepreneurial Advisory Council and has appeared
many times on national TV including the Today Show on NBC. Mr. Lash is a graduate
of Brandeis University from which he holds two Bachelors Degrees.
