Garrett Glaser,

Garrett
covers business stories for many CNBC programs including Wake Up Call, Squawk
Box, Midday Call, Power Lunch, Closing Bell, Business Center and Capital Report.
He also anchors "Business Headlines" throughout the broadcast day
and appears on other programs including CNBC-affiliated programs including
NBC's Early Today and The Wall Street Journal Report.
Prior
to joining CNBC, Garrett spent three years as Entertainment Industry Reporter
for KNBC-TV Los Angeles and four years covering the film industry as national
correspondent for "Entertainment Tonight." Earlier, he worked as
a general assignment reporter with WABC-TV New York, WPLG-TV Miami, WVEC-TV
Norfolk, Virginia, WXYZ-TV Detroit (newswriter) and WPTA-TV Fort Wayne. He
has covered stories throughout the U.S. and in Europe, the Middle East and
South America.
Garrett
has authored print stories for the Los Angeles Times, Electronic Media, The
Advocate and other publications. He received an Emmy Award for his news series
on a gold bullion investment scam in South Florida that bilked senior citizens
of millions and won accolades, as well, from the New York Press Club, the
Greater LA Press Club and Florida AP Broadcasters. In 2002, Garrett was a
Case Media Fellow at the University of Maryland. He holds an M.A. from the
Annenberg School for Communication at USC and a B.A. in Communications from
Hunter College in New York City. He and his partner, entertainment attorney
David Schmerler, reside in Manhattan.
