Matt Forstenhausler

Matt is a partner in Ernst & Young's Financial Services Office, with over 26 years of experience in the financial services industry. He leads the Financial Services Office's Registered Funds practice. Matt also has significant experience in the areas of business development companies, private equity partnerships, hedge funds, investment advisors and performance verification. He currently serves several of Ernst & Young's most significant investment groups. He has been involved in various IPOs and has helped several regulated and unregulated pooled investment vehicles launch their operations.
Matt is Ernst & Young's Director of the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS). He has been involved with the Association of Investment Management and Research (AIMR) Performance Presentation Standards since 1992. He served as a member of the AIMR and the IPC Verification Committees where he helped to draft a recommended verification approach plan for use by Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and non-CPAs. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' (AICPA) Task Force on Performance Attestation.
He is on the Advisory Board of the Journal of Performance Management. He often speaks at industry seminars and has been quoted in various publications.
Matt is a CPA and a member of the AICPA. He is a former president and a current member of the Board of Trustees of the Westfield United Way.
