Tim is a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager with the Value Equity team of Evergreen's Equity Management group. His responsibilities include managing the Evergreen Utilities & High Income Fund, a closed-end fund, as well as the Evergreen Utility and Telecommunications Fund. He joined Evergreen in 2002. Previously, Tim managed the Gabelli Utilities Fund for Gabelli Asset Management Inc. (1999-2002). Additionally, Tim served as a Portfolio Manager and Analyst for Eaton Vance Management (1994-1999), an Equity Analyst with Loomis Sayles & Co. (1986-1994), and as an Equity Analyst for PNC Bank Corp. (1983-1986). He was ranked in Institutional Investor's "Best of the Buy Side" poll for his research work in utilities and telecommunications in 1987.

Tim has been in the investment management industry since 1983. He received a BBA from the University of Massachusetts (Cum Laude-1976)) and an MBA in Finance from Wharton School (1983). Tim has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation by the CFA Institute.
