Louis W. Lazzara is a director for Fitch Ratings' Fund & Asset Manager Rating Group in New York. His team is responsible for issuing and surveilling credit and volatility ratings on money market and bond funds. The group also rates local government investment pools, closed-end fund preferred shares/notes, and tradeable credit baskets. He joined Fitch in 2003 as part of the Credit Product Group in New York where he was responsible for the analysis and rating of market value CDOs and structured investment vehicles backed by a variety of asset classes including mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, corporate debt, and alternative investments.
Louis previously worked as a Senior Associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in their Investment Management Services Group. While there he provided assurance and advisory services to a variety of mutual funds, hedge funds and CDOs.
Louis holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Villanova University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
