The
World Trust Fund
The World Trust
Fund, launched in 1991, is registered in Luxembourg, and listed on the
London Stock Exchange. The stock symbol is WTR.L, and the Fund's brokers
and maket-makers are UBS, Lazard, Dresdner, and Winterflood.
The Fund seeks to
achieve capital appreciation through investmemts in undervalued securities
with a tangible discount on a global basis. Over the years, we have
invested in country funds, closed-end funds, investment trusts, holding
companies and other similar investments which we deem undervalued, and
trading at a tangible discount. In 1998, the Fund was allowed to hedge
the underlying market risks. For hedging purposes, managers can sell
short stock indices, shares of exchange-traded funds or closed-end funds,
baskets of stocks and stocks, not exceeding 100% of the Fund's net assets.
