Real Estate Fund II, Inc is a non-diversified, closed-end management
investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is total return
through a combination of high current income and capital appreciation
potential by investing primarily in real estate securities. Under normal
market conditions, the Fund will invest at least 90% of its total assets
in income-producing common stocks, preferred stocks and other equity
securities issued by real estate companies, such as “real estate
investment trust” ( REITS”), and direct interest in real
estate. At least 70% of the fund’s total assets will be invested
in income-producing equity securities issued by REITS.
The
fund may invest up to 10% of its total assets in debt securities issued
or guaranteed by real estate companies. The fund will not invest more
than 20% of its total assets in preferred stock or debt securities rated
below investment grade (commonly known as “junk bonds”)
or unrated securities of comparable quality. Although the fund will
invest primarily in equity securities that are publicly traded, the
Fund may invest up to 20% of its total assets in illiquid real estate
investments. There can be no assurance that the Fund will achieve its
investment objective.
