Dow Jones Indexes, a unit of Dow Jones & Company, is an independent,
full-service index provider. It develops, maintains and licenses equity
and fixed-income indexes for use as benchmarks and as the basis of investment
products. Best known for the Dow Jones Industrial Average, Dow Jones
Indexes also is co-owner of the leading pan-European indexes, the Dow
Jones STOXX Indexes.
Other major
index families are the Dow Jones Global Indexes (DJGI), which include
country, region, sector, capitalization-defined and growth and value
benchmark indexes; the Dow Jones Titans Indexes, which include country,
region and sector blue-chip indexes; and the Dow Jones Specialty Indexes.
Daily values
of Dow Jones indexes are distributed via major real-time and end-of-day
market-data vendors, are published in financial publications and on
financial Web sites, and can be downloaded from the Dow Jones Indexes
