The
Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) is the world's first options risk
management marketplace. CBOE options are SEC-regulated and cleared by
the triple-A-rated Options Clearing Corporation. In 2002 the CBOE introduced
the first major benchmark for options performance, the CBOE S&P
500 BuyWrite Index (BXM).
The
CBOE offers options on more than 1,200 individual stocks and options
on 40 stock indexes, including the S&P 500 (SPX), S&P 100 (OEX),
Dow 30 (DJX), Russell 2000 (RUT), Nasdaq-100 (NDX), and Mini-NDX (MNX)
indexes.
In addition, futures on the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) are offered
on the new CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE). Educational tools such as the
Options Toolbox and White Paper for High-net-worth Investors are available
