Jim Polisson is the head of marketing for the US Intermediary Business,
including US and Europe iShares and the LifePath Funds. Jim's strategic
marketing responsibilities include conducting market research and segmentation,
product positioning, and directing the advertising and direct marketing
programs for the Intermediary Business. Additionally, Jim directs the
US and Europe iShares web sites.
Jim
joined Barclays Global Investors in 1998 and was head of Global Operations
Risk Management for two years before joining the US Intermediary Business.
Prior to joining BGI, Jim was the product manager of the Fidelity Investments
retail mutual fund supermarket. His previous business experience includes
eight years in the financial services consulting practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Before his consulting career, Jim was a captain in the US Air Force
serving as an electrical engineer.
Jim
earned his BS in electrical engineering and Masters of Business Administration
from Carnegie Mellon University. Additionally, Jim received his Juris
Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and is a member of the bar
in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.
