In September 1999, J. Parsons joined US Intermediary Business to assist
in the creation and launch of the new iShares Funds. He is currently
responsible for all sales in the Intermediary business channel.
Before
assuming his current role, J. was Head of the Equity Index Management,
Equity Trading and Transition Services Groups. Prior to joining BGI
in 1995, J. spent 2-1/2 years at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc as a vice
president of Convertible Securities and Equity Derivatives.
From
1985 to 1992, J. was executive vice president of Leland O'Brien Rubinstein
Associates, where he managed the trading and client service operations
and was involved in equity and currency risk management programs.
J.
holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago and a BA in mathematics
and economics from Claremont Men's College.
