Huib
Vermeulen (born 1974) is Manager of Cash Product Development and Marketing
at Euronext. Among other things, he is actively involved in the launch and
promotion of ETFs (trackers) on NextTrack, Euronext's product segment for
ETFs, and manages a team of specialists located in Paris and Lisbon. NextTrack
has become Europe's leading marketplace for ETFs.
Before
joining the cash products team following the Euronext merger in September
2000, Huib worked for two years as a product manager in the marketing research
and development department of Amsterdam Exchanges, where his responsibilities
also included the development and introduction of ETFs. Huib has an MA degree
(with distinction) in International Relations from the University of Groningen
(the Netherlands), which involved studies in Montreal (Canada) and a work
placement at the United Nations in Santiago (Chile).
