The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) is the world’s largest options risk management marketplace. CBOE options are SEC-regulated and cleared by the triple-A-rated Options Clearing Corporation.

In 2002 the CBOE introduced the first major benchmark for options performance, the CBOE BuyWrite Monthly IndexSM (BXM). The CBOE offers options on more than 1,200 individual stocks and options on 40 stock indexes, including the S&P 500 (ticker symbol SPX), S&P 100 (XEO and OEX), Dow 30 (DJX), Russell 2000 (RUT), Nasdaq-100 (NDX), and Mini-NDX (MNX) indexes. In addition, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and options on ETFs (on DIA, QQQ, and OEF) are offered on the CBOE.

Educational tools such as the Options Toolbox, Index Workbench, and White Paper for Mutual Funds are available at www.cboe.com.
