Howard
Tiffen is a Managing Director of Van Kampen Funds and director of senior
loans. He is portfolio manager of Van Kampen's Prime Rate Income Trust,
Senior Floating Rate Fund and Senior Income Trust and its institutional
funds which invest in Senior Loans.
Prior
to joining Van Kampen, Mr. Tiffen was senior portfolio manager for Pilgrim
Investments' Senior Floating Rate Investment Management business from 1995
to 1999. Previous to that, Mr. Tiffen held a series of positions in the
lending and capital markets functions at Bank of America, and its predecessor
in the Chicago area, Continental Bank. Before that, Mr. Tiffen held positions
with Wardley, the Hong Kong Bank's investment banking subsidiary, and with
Barclays Bank. In his 25-plus years in the business, Mr. Tiffen's career
has taken him to Malta, the Caribbean, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and
Japan, as well as the United States.
Mr.
Tiffen earned a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University. He is also
an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and has been a member
of the board of directors of the Loan Syndication and Trading Association
since 2000.
