In September
1999, J. Parsons joined the Individual Investor Business to assist in the
creation and launch of the iShares line of exchange-traded funds. Before
assuming his current role, J. was head of the Equity Management and Trading
Groups. Prior to joining BGI in 1995, J. served as
vice president of Convertible Securities and vice president of Equity Derivatives
at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc.
From
1985 to 1992, J. was executive vice president of Leland O'Brien Rubinstein
Associates, where he managed the trading and client service operations and
was involved in equity and currency risk management programs. J. holds an
MBA in finance from the University of Chicago and a BA in mathematics and
economics from Claremont Men's College.
