ENET was established in 1998 as a 100% affiliated Company of AEGEK, one of the largest construction companies in Greece, operating in the Balkans and the Middle East.
ENET was primarily staffed with Personnel working for the department of electromechanical works of AEGEK, under the management of Elias Spanos.
With the time, the responsibility of ENET was extended to cover not only electromechanical works but also civil works with specialization in the Power sector.
Thus, ENET was enlarged and hired personnel of all essential skills to perform accordingly.
By 2005, while AEGEK was under a restructuring process, ENET, through a Management buy-out, became an independent Company.
ENET is currently operating in Greece only covering the following fields of the construction industry:
- Power Plants (coal, gas, renewables) - Civil and E/M Works
- Infrastructure (pipelines off-shore/on-shore)
- Industrial and Residential Buildings
- Experience refers to Projects completed such as:
- Komotini 477MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (with AEGEK, Alstom and Ansaldo)
- Thessaloniki 390MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (subcontractor to Vatech Hydro)
- Ag. Dimitrios 360MW Lignite Fire Steam Turbine Power Plant (with AEGEK, Ansaldo and Austrian Energy)
- IIBEAA (Medical, Biological Research Center of the Greek Academy - 30.000sqm lab building) - with AEGEK
- Ministry of Marine - 40.000sqm Office building - with AEGEK
