Dina Khayat is Chairman and Managing Director of Lazard Asset Management Egypt, a subsidiary of Lazard Asset Management (New York) and Vice Chairman of Lazard Kato Asset Management, a joint venture between Lazard Asset Management Egypt and Kato Investments. Lazard Asset Management Egypt manages two equity funds (not including the Egypt Trust, an offshore closed end fund invested in Egyptian securities) as well as the first money market fund to be launched in Egypt.
Khayat joined Lazard Asset Management in New York in mid-1995, before which she worked for three years at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Washington doing debt and equity project finance in sub-Saharan Africa and then Central Europe. Before that, she had worked for 10 years as a credit officer, and later, Branch Manager at Egyptian American Bank, Cairo.
Khayat has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the American University in Cairo and an MBA from Columbia University in New York.
