Mr. Curran, a member of Turning Point Securities, L.L.C., is currently on the Chicago Stock Exchange Board of Governors and an active member of the CHX's Marketing, Finance and Strategic Planning Committees. He recently merged the specialist division of Sydan L.P., which he had built into one of the largest specialist firms on the CHX. He also developed algorithms to hedge the SPY and the QQQ with futures, options and program trades.
From 1974 through 1990, Dan was a market maker at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. During this period, he was Chairman of the New Products Committee, which introduced the highly successful OEX index product. Dan also developed proprietary algorithms to price options, warrants and convertible securities.
Prior to the CBOE, Dan was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs handling corporate financings and mergers in the Midwest.
Dan is a C.P.A. and an attorney in Illinois and Wisconsin. He has a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and J.D. in Law from DePaul University.
He holds Series 7, 24, 27, 55 and 63 licenses.
